As the very first State Titleholder for Miss Voluptuous Pageants, Jennifer Hyatt from Virginia confesses that she's always loved pageants but didn't feel that traditional pageantry was a good fit for her.
We caught up with her to find out what makes her tick!
Congratulations on becoming the first Miss Voluptuous State Titleholder in history! In your opinion, what's the best thing about your country?
Freedom; we are blessed, in the US, to be who we want to be and live how we choose.
How exciting that the International Grand Final should be taking place in your part of the world! Which country do you dream of visiting?
Greece. In all of the pictures I have seen of Greece, I really admire the beauty of its land and people and think it
would be amazing to visit there.
I'm sure your Greek Sister Queen would be glad to give you a tour! What three qualities make an incredible queen?
Charitable, Compassion and Confidence
Let's play a game of This or That!
Indoors or Outdoors?
Indoors - I need AC!
Mountain Retreat or City Break?
Mountain retreat! I love surrounding myself with the beauty nature. I enjoy watching the abundance of life and activity in natural settings. Being in the midst of nature allows me to refresh, re-energize, release and relax, it is peace.
Late night or Early morning?
Late night; by default I am not a morning person!
Dogs or Cats?
Both, I love animals.
Book or Movie?
Beach day or Pool Day?
Sweet or Savory?
Savory - I prefer real food over desserts but certainly do not turn down cake!
Amen! What do you love about pageantry?
To be able to influence and provide an example for females, especially younger girls, showing them that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes as well as true beauty comes from within.
That's the truth! Thank you so much to Jennifer for taking the time to give this interview.
